My pregnancy was great from the start, had no morning sickness, no fatigue no nothing. I was full of energy and looked healthy as i have ever looked, however that all changed once i reached the final trimester of my pregnancy. At 31 weeks pregnant i started to suffer from bad migraines well what i thought were migraines because my vision was really blurry too, i didn't think to ring my doctor i was told it’s all part of the pregnancy. Then at 32 weeks pregnant i was woken from my sleep with the most excruciating pain below my ribs i have ever felt, i tried everything to stop this pain but nothing worked i was up all night. The following morning i went to the emergency room with my partner they ran a number of tests and kept me in overnight, no one would tell us what was happening. The next morning the doctor came to see me, we were told i had pre-eclampsia, i had heard of that before but didn't know a lot. I was sent home that day but ordered to do 24hr urine tests and to go back to see the doctor the following morning."
Everything is a blur from then on i was so drugged up i didn't know what was happening to me. I woke up a day later in I C U id had blood and platelet transfusion, my mother and partner were by my bedside with a picture of my tiny baby Katie she was born at 33 weeks on the 10/12/08 a tiny 2lb 14oz. Finally after two days i could see her was so heartbreaking knowing i couldn't cuddle her and bring her home. Day by day my strength grew and after a week i was allowed home, i visited Katie every day until she came home witch was 3 weeks after she was born. Now my Katie is a healthy 5 year old full of life and so bright , i was so anxious to be pregnant again but i did it and had a normal healthy pregnancy my boy was born 05/09/13 a whopping 8lb 10oz so there is hope for us all."
